Used Tires as Fuel in Clinker Production: Economic and Environmental Implications
نویسندگان
چکیده
This work analyzes how gases emitted during the manufacture of clinker vary in a cement plant using two types fuel: petroleum coke and unusable tires (UTs). study is based on case real time data more than 40 process variables. Gases are analyzed from points production process: sintering kiln, where main focus emissions to atmosphere by chimney, preheater. The variation CO NOx depending oxygen fuel type studied. SO2 levels also decrease was observed when UTs. quality compared according type. results analyzed, one hand, clinker, determined content majority (C3S, alite) minority (free CaO) phases, and, other kiln temperature, most influential parameter productive process. It verified that maintained regardless used. Therefore, use UTs as could generate important economic environmental benefits for companies.

Reusing Desulfurization Slag in Cement Clinker Production and the Influence on the Formation of Clinker Phases
The purpose of this study was to investigate the reuse of desulfurization slag in cement clinker production and its influence on the formation of clinker phases. The desulfurization slag that mainly contained Ca and Si was identified as non-toxic, and thus it should be suitable to be reused in clinker production. The addition of desulfurization slag increased the melt phase during clinkerizatio...

in this research, energetic andexergetic analysis of calcium oxide formation, co2 emissions, andenvironmental effects during the clinker production process in rotary kilnare investigated. first the energy and exergy analysis of rotary kiln were carried out according to the first and second law of thermodynamics based on dead state, respectively. consequently, the amount of co2 emissions associa...
متن کاملEthanol production: energy, economic, and environmental losses.
The prime focus of ethanol production from corn is to replace the imported oil used in American vehicles, without expending more fossil energy in ethanol production than is produced as ethanol energy. In a thorough and up-to-date evaluation of all the fossil energy costs of ethanol production from corn, every step in the production and conversion process must be included. In this study, 14 ener...
